Circus Magic, Anna Maria Island, Shark Teeth, Golf Courses...
Welcome to Sarasota and her Gulf Islands. Here on the Suncoast, you'll find three unique cities punctuated by four gorgeous islands.Anna Maria Island guards the northern border at the mouth of Tampa Bay. There are quaint beachside inns and pastel-colored cottages on this "Old Florida" slice of sand.
In contrast, internationally known Longboat and Lido Keys are home to millionaires and movie stars. As you drive through these Keys, your eyes will delight in the perfectly manicured lawns and lush foliage. Lido Key's St. Armands Circle offers glitzy shops and trendy restaurants.
Siesta Key is laid-back with a casual atmosphere. T-shirts and flip-flops are the order of the day. Relax on the beaches, home to some of the finest white sand in the world. Or, hang out in the village and let the Siesta spirit put you at ease.
Casey Key is the quiet companion and almost exclusively residential. Take a short drive and stretch your legs at North Jetty Park on the south end of the Key.
The crown jewel of the region is Sarasota, with arts and cultural offerings that rival those in some of the country's largest cities. Just a few miles to the north, the mile-wide Manatee River serves as a lovely backdrop to the waterfront town of Bradenton. You’ll find Venice just 30 minutes south, filled with charming shops, antique stores and restaurants.
